So it’s H!S time and this week it starts with the new unit Kobushi Factory courtesy of a live clip. It’s the promotional edit of their first single Nen ni wa Nen…
I like the way they interspersed the live clips with a profile pic and their names. A good way to get to know these new idols. As for the song well I really like it. I ordered the CD/DVD this week from E-LineUP. It comes with a member photo so I’m hoping to get my favourite member, Hamsterchan. She’s so cute! Talking of which this week’s presenters…
At last it’s Hamatime! She’s presenting with Juice=Juice’s Kanazawa Tomoko. Did I mention she’s so cute yet?
After the presenter introductions the first clip has Captain with an announcement for these unsuspecting Sushi members…
Yes there’s another new unit. Their name will be Tsubaki Factory. Captain’s input every time is to add the word “Factory” in order to invoke the spirit of Beryz Kobo. I look forward next year to Morning Musume ’15 becoming not Morning Musume ’16 but Morning Musume Factory. I also can’t wait to hear their first single Factory Revolution ’21.
The reactions of the new group weren’t as tearfully happy as with Kobushi Factory. A few were close to tears but a few of them seemed a little less than genki. Maybe their individual interviews will make them seem more interesting…
No. Yamagishi Riko looks traumatised. Seriously she looks like she’s begging forgiveness for something. If she turns up next with a shaven head we’ll know she really doesn’t want this.
Also no. I’m wondering though is Kishimoto Yumeno’s top too big for her, her head too small for her body or is she just really wiiiide or what?
Well Niinuma Kisora seems at least polite.
Okay Asakura Kiki seems energetic and has a big smile. Immediate plus points!
Ogata Risa seems quite formal.
And finally Tanimoto Ami is very pretty but reacted the least out of all of them during the announcement and seems very calm.
Well it’s hard to tell just what any of them are like just from these brief clips but Kiki is the one who stands out the best so far.
Up next C-ute…
Yes she is. Oh okay then there’s also a live clip of H!P’s best group performing Gamusha LIFE…
With C-ute live performances there’s more swinging of towels than in the crowd of a 1980’s kids football comic.
After the song is the announcement that C-ute’s Mexican fans should start making their member-coloured sombreros now…
The next clip is the dance group practising. The dance group consisted of the best dancers H!P has. So Nacky, Ayumi, Riho, Maimi and Captain plus some others. With Captain being involved they were probably called Dance Factory…
Clearly Mizuki thinks one of her colleagues is an infection risk…
Now for the dance…
It’s good but I’m confused seeing Nacky just dancing when Maimi, Airi and Chisato aren’t standing there singing. >.>
The final clip is the hair arrangement corner. This week it’s Rio of Captain Factory…
I’m not interested in this corner at all except for when it’s a favourite member so as usual I paid no attention.
And that’s it for this episode. For me the Kobushi Factory clip, the presenting of Hamachan, the C-ute live clip plus the announcement of a new Factory made it well worth watching. It even made me want to blog about the show for the first time in months! I’d been waiting for Hamachan’s presenting turn. Pity it wasn’t with Nacky as then it’d have been perfection.
So there’s another new group. With Country Girls’ Zoo, Kobushi Factory, new Momusu and Angrysmile members and now this Captain Factory group it’s hard to keep up with all the new idols. But it’s also fun trying. I look forward to finding out more about them. And that’s the great thing with projects like H!P’s. Favourite members may graduate in time but life goes on and there’s always new and interesting talented young idols coming through. There’s always change but without it we’d have none of our favourites anyway. It’s a bit like life in general. Things evolve but that stops things becoming stale and so new causes of excitement and happiness can always be just around the corner. For a H!P fan these are certainly interesting and exciting times. Although for this Nanami loving wota every new group is also a bit of a knife to the heart! ><
I loved your snarky factory references XD I’ll have no reason to blog anymore if you just keep on writing precisely what’s on my mind, dammit! And being more witty at it as well.

Noooo! You’d have to carry on blogging. I’d miss your site otherwise. Besides I need backing up by someone! :p

I mostly watched for the Factories. Soon, it’ll be “Factory Project” or “Hello! Pro Factory” with the amount of Factories opening. (Great, now I’m reminded of a song lyric, one that might be something some fans have in mind….)
Great post regardless!

I always thought of H!P as Tsunku’s Idol Factory anyway – like he’s genetically engineering and growing them in tanks in the basement. The “auditions” are just a cover-up.

I’ve always thought the same. That’s why Maimi is a genetically engineered super idol.

Tsunku must have lost the formula after Maimi was created or he would’ve made an entire group of Maimis (probably called Maimi Factory) that would dominate the idol pop industry.
